A global leader in small domestic equipment and professional appliances is recruiting for an IT manager.
This position is a liaison between business processes and system solutions for Japan organization. Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, issue resolution, and preliminary solutions cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align information technology solutions with global systemic business processes and initiatives especially in on-going regional projects. Change management skills as well as ability to support co-workers in daily functionality required.
Overall business understanding including ability to determine root of problem and partner with Corporate process and/or tech service teams to resolve and ability to lead overall project processes including testing efforts as well as training initiatives especially in coming various projects in Japan.
In summary, this position will take responsibility for all IT functions (infrastructure, applications, budget, IT resources, projects, etc.) across all business units in Japan.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all application systems, infrastructure, networking, and integration, in coordination with Japan management and Corporate IT teams. Manage the IT daily administrative tasks, maintenance, operations, and business users support.
- SAP Best Practice industry specific solutions and business processes based on SAP experience. Define, implement and train end users on systematic and sustainable solutions within the guideline of global business processes. Conduct SAP S4 migration in near future.
- Manage the development and maintenance of all application systems, as well as infrastructure related business support activities and get in the detail requirements of the business, communicate those detail facts, analytical problem-solving skills to help determine solution, and work hands on to a final resolution.
- To be the key interface between businesses and Corporate / Local IT Management. As part of the Global IT team, responsible for implementing, managing, and coordinating all global infrastructure & application projects.
- Ensures quality and efficient service delivery, management and measurement are in place for all IT users in all local business units.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing continuous improvement of IT user service and systems for business units.
- Introduce, implement, and manage measurable business process improvement or business cost reductions, either directly or indirectly.
- To develop, execute and maintain local Disaster / Business Recovery Plans in conjunction with management teams.
- Responsible for all local infrastructure / networking / desktops / application system change documentation, user and technical manuals, and user training.
- This position is not only management, but also it needs on hand tasks. May need to manage outsource supplier.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or technical discipline
- 5~10 years of relevant work experience; Learning experience of information technology (IT) concepts, technologies, environments, tools, database management and best practices
- Experience working with international operations and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements and to be accustomed to global solution processes.
- Extensive experience in IT field and managing internal/ external IT team /vendors and projects.
- Experience in Retail / Order / Sales / Distribution system including EDI would be highly regarded.
- Experience in SAP will be a must.
- Experience in POS system or similar retail / sales ERP systems would be highly regarded.
