Description
A Global Finance firm is seeking a Senior Associate – Data Governance Specialist for its global data department.
Responsibilities:
- Implement security practices and policies in the financial industry to safeguard confidential data
- Operate and support third-party database security platforms
- Use and internally promote database security tools and techniques (encryption, tokenization, masking)
- Manage established security systems and practices, coordinating with stakeholders for implementation
- Contribute code to internal platforms following software development lifecycle and using CI/CD tools
- Comply with Japanese PII data protection laws in the financial sector
- Collaborate with global teams across regions
- Take on ownership of data security and in-house file storage platforms
Required Skills:
- Total 5 years experience background as a Data engineer, Cloud engineer, Infrastructure engineer, or an Application developer with backend services as core area of developer experience
- Within 5 years experience, 3 years solid experience focusing on data governance, Some Data PII (Personally Identifiable Information) / GDPR experience
- Encryption techniques at infrastructure stack, with hands-on experience on Windows and/or Unix/Linux systems
