A global financial company in Tokyo is looking for a Senior Associate/ Associate to join the Global Cyber Threat Intelligence team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) team, Threat Hunting and other security functions at a global level.

Responsibilities:
•    Develop subject matter expertise in cyber threat intelligence (CTI) on both regional and global levels.
•    Act as the "voice of the threat" within the cybersecurity organization.
•    Leverage 3rd party threat intelligence vendors to identify relevant trends and issues.
•    Mentor and manage junior employees across Japan and globally.
•    Cover a range of CTI topics, from geopolitical issues to technical analysis (e.g., vulnerability management and threat actor modeling).
•    Assist in translating CTI reports from English to Japanese.
•    Drive strategic planning with the CISO sub-division and leadership team, defining objectives and performance metrics.
•    Monitor vendor processes, compliance, and performance, ensuring alignment with risk management and product strategies.
•    Build colleague engagement strategies (e.g., town halls, recognition, development plans, and brand promotion).
•    Collaborate with HR on recruitment, succession planning, and career development.
•    Coordinate management meetings and executive presentations.
•    Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes and reporting.
•    Support BAU IT Security and Cyber Security activities, collaborating with relevant teams and providing translation when needed.
•    Engage with business units and teams on operational IT Security and Cyber Security matters.

Required Skills: 
•    5 years’ experience with Cybersecurity with good understanding on Intelligence Lifecycle (Direction, Collection, Analysis, Dissemination)
•    5 years experience with Threat hunting experience, passionate about Threat Intelligence, good understanding of Lifecycle such as Diamond Model, Kill Chain and Mitre ATT&CK frameworks.
•    Bilingual, Business Japanese (N2) and Fluent English OR Fluent Japanese and Business English

Working Hours:  08:40 – 17:40
Workstyle: By principle, it will be 1 day working in office, 4 days working from home (Depending on nature of the job, it will be decided by department head)
