A world's leading Life Insurance firm is looking for a talented Lead ML & AI Engineer .
As a lead ML/AI Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining ML/AI pipelines and infrastructure, working with established MLOps, LLMOps, GenOps practices to deliver reliable and scalable ML / AI solution.
You will collaborate with Data Scientists of each domain-driven data squad, Data Platform Engineering and AI Governance to operationalize ML/AI models and contribute to the continuous improvement of our ML / AI infrastructure under internal AI Governance enforcement.
Responsibilities:
- ML / AI pipeline development & Implementation
- Build and maintain ML/AI pipelines using Databricks MLFlow for model training and inference pipelines deployment.
- Implement established MLOps/LLMOps practices and standards for model deployment and monitoring.
- Create and maintain feature stores following defined architectural patterns.
- Develop automated testing framework for ML / AI pipelines and modes.
- Implement monitoring solutions for deployed models following Group standards (MLOps Index)
- Model Operations & Infrastructure
- Deploy and maintain ML/AI models in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code with proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, ability to implement infrastructure testing, validation, best practices and standards and optimization techniques.
- Configure and optimize model serving endpoints following security guidelines.
- Implement caching and performance optimization strategies for model inference.
- Support the integration of LLMs using SecureGPT platform.
- Maintain documentation for deployed models and pipelines.
- Collaboration & Technical Support
- Work closely with Data Scientists to understand model requirements and implementation needs.
- Support domain squad members in troubleshooting model deployment and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Share knowledge and best practices within Data Lab community dedicated to ML & AI.
- Provide input on pipeline improvements and optimization opportunities.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with 2+ years focused on ML / AI Systems.
- Strong programing skills in Python and experience with ML framework (Pytorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn etc.)
- Practical experience with MLOps/LLMOps tools (MLFlow, Kuberflow) and practices.
- Experience with Cloud Platform (AWS preferred) and container technologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD/CT (continuous training) practices, DevOps/ModelOps/DataOps principles and tools (JIRA, Jenkins)
- Understanding of data processing framework and modern data stack using Cloud SQL Warehouse (Databricks preferred)
- Experience with model monitoring and observability tools.
- Knowledge of AI ethics principles and fairness metrics.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA, AI Act, etc.).
- Financial / Insurance industry knowledge and experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
